Job Details

Lisle Corporation is recruiting for a highly talented and motivated full time EHS/Ez Way Quality Systems Manager.

Overall Objective

This position is responsible for identifying and coordinating EHS activities within Lisle Corporation and EZ Way.  The role is responsible for the implementation of the facility’s EHS programs to help in the prevention of serious injuries and fatalities, ensure regulatory compliance, as well as prevent property damage and other general liability losses.

Job Description

  1. Implement, maintain, and update EHS standards to promote a Best-in-Class safety program with a focus on eliminating serious injuries & fatalities and high potential exposures.

  2. Implement, maintain, and update EHS standards to promote a Best-in-Class environmental compliance program with a focus on eliminating environmental incidents and non-compliance events.

  3. Coach personnel on EHS standards and procedure interpretations.

  4. Conduct relevant EHS training/orientations for plant personnel, contractors, and visitors.

  5. Submit required reports and permits, while conducting audits and inspections of the facility to ensure compliance with EHS standards and procedures and regulatory requirements, identify deficiencies and assist in the development of corrective actions.

  6. Assist management with incident investigations to identify root causes and key factors and aid in the development of corrective and preventive actions.

  7. Coordinate reporting EZ Way equipment incidents per regulatory requirements.

  8. Maintain records of audits, inspections, monitoring, training, etc. per standards and regulatory requirements.

  9. Perform tracking and trending of EHS incidents to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and the prevention of future events.

  10. Support environmental sustainability throughout the campus.

  11. Assist plant personnel in conducting high-quality hazard analysis and risk assessments.

  12. Provides support to the Loss Prevention Control inspection process at the facility, with emphasis on fire prevention and fire protection equipment.

  13. Chairs the site’s Safety and Health Committee and participate on other applicable safety committees.

  14. Assists in worker’s compensation claims and employee return-to-work programs.

Work Environment

Some work areas are not air conditioned, employee will be required to work in these areas.  Required PPE must be worn as directed by the work being performed.

Physical Demands

Employee is required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift while performing the job.

Work Hours

Typical work hours will be during day shift, on occasion job activities will be required on 2nd and 3rd shift.  Off shift work will be less than 10% of the time.

Employee reports to the Plant Manager

Qualifications:

Experience/Educational Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety or related field or equivalent safety or training experience.

  2. Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills required.

  3. Good working knowledge of PC applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
